We met France Crispeels, owner/winemaker of Vignoble Reveille four years ago. Each year since, we have been continually impressed by the quality of her wines, her passion, and her tenacity. She runs a small, 11-hectare organic and biodynamic operation, focusing on premium, dry-farmed and natural wines in a balanced environment in Roussillon. The extreme growing conditions on her granite and gneiss soils generate small yields. She adds cereals and leguminous plants in the vineyard (beans, oats, rye), and is committed to agro-forestry practices to maintain the scrubland and holm oak forests around the vineyards.

ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSIBILITY

In a windy Mediterranean climate, Vignoble Reveille practices agriculture adapted to our granite and gneiss soils. Our environment induces adapted interventions and small returns. The attention, the work of the vines mainly by hand, and the practice of Biodynamics bring more life to the soils, relaxation in the phenolic ripeness, and sensitive balances in the wines.

Since 2013, they have stopped adding manure or compost and turned to the practice of seedlings producing green manure. Soil life and production have been greatly improved.

The work in the cellar begins with healthy, ripe, tasty grapes, respect, and recognition of their potential. They practice gentle vinification adapted to each vintage, without inputs, and tailor-made aging.
