Dasca Vives is a small, family winery in Catalonia run by Alba Vives and Josep Dasca. They are salt-of-the-earth farmers with a passion for preserving the land, and its pre-phylloxera varietals on it by farming biodynamically.
For decades these practices have made Dasca Vives popular with locals who seek their prized organic olive oils, almonds, hazelnuts, carob, and of course vino directly from the farm and winery. The wines of Dasca Vives are treated with the same respect in the winery as in the vineyards, allowed to ferment spontaneously with the yeasts on the skins, sparing use of sulfites to maintain freshness.

ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSIBILITY

Dasca Vives is a family farm run by Josep Dasca and Alba Vives. They live in the Alt Camp region and farm for a living. They are professionally qualified as an agricultural & forestry engineer and as an enologist, respectively. They farm traditional crops of vines, olives, almonds, carob trees, and sown fields according to ecological and biodynamic principles. In this way, they maintain the tradition of farming family lands, adapting them to ecological principles and processing the products ourselves in order to sell them directly to the consumer. The crops they produce are wine, olive oil, and nuts.
