Wine for the World

Bosman Family Vineyards Generation 8 Cabernet Sauvignon

The Bovlei valley is extremely well-suited to cultivate Cabernet Sauvignon. Sunny days and an early season give the vines ample time to ripen the grapes, and well drained soils and slopes form a myriad of micro pockets, creating interesting variations of terroir. The De Bos range focuses on specific varietal quality and region-specific characteristics. For Cabernet Sauvignon, this translates into producing a wine with elegance, finesse and beautiful, vibrant fruit flavours.

This wine was meant to be a classical rendition of the "king of wines" and the wine for kings. Meticulous attention to detail was given, from the harvesting by hand of the 15+ year old vineyards, to the careful fermentation and 9 month maturation in French Oak barrel, to its final bottling. Only 750 cases produced.

The wine is certified Fair Trade. In addition to supporting projects like day care centers, scholarships, and retirement facilities for workers, the winery is certified sustainable, a leading biodiversity conservation member, and uses solar panels.
