The Adama range is named after Adam Appollis, a visionary of his time and forefather of many of the families that work and live on the Lelienfontein farm. This wine intersects three points of importance for the Bosman Family: History and heritage; Innovation to create new and exciting wines; and Sustainability.
The Adama White blend is firmly nestled in this range as we use interesting blends and components as well as modern tannin management and oaking theories. A perfect harmony of innovation and heritage, the wine is made to be an authentic rendition of elegant, modern winemaking and truthful to the families to which it plays homage.
The vineyards that grow these grapes have granite soils and are located in the Wellington and Walker Bay regions. The components of the blend are all delicately managed separately until the blend is finalized, approximately two months before bottling. The main varietals are a 36-year old vine Chenin Blanc, and a 13-year old vine Chardonnay, which are fermented and matured separately in French Oak for 9 months.
This wine received 90 points from Christian Eedes.
